This "juicie" is part beet juice part banana smoothie blend. I know what you're thinking....I have to clean two appliances?! I know, it's rough, but it really only take an extra couple of minutes so make this one when you're not too rushed for time.
I juiced some beets to extract that gorgeous deep rich colour and popped that into a blender with freshly grated ginger, frozen banana and almond milk. My blender simply couldn't have processed the beets properly so I used my trusty juicer to make sure I ended up with the perfect smooth consistency I wanted.
Now go ahead, get your juicie on!
1/2 cup fresh beet juice (approx 5 small beets)
1/2 banana, frozen
3/4 cups unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)
1 tsp freshly grated ginger
4 ice cubes
1) Using a juicer, juice 1/2 cup fresh beet juice.
2) Place beet juice, banana, almond milk and grated ginger in a blender and process until smooth.
3) Add ice cubes and continue to blend.
Pour into a glass and enjoy!
