If you're new to working with tempeh, read my blog post: 3 Ways to Cook with Tempeh
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp hot sauce
1 block of tempeh, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
Cilantro, chopped for garnish
Black and white sesame seeds, for garnish
1) Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
2) In a small bowl, whisk up all of the marinade ingredients.
3) Lay your tempeh pieces on a foil lined baking dish. Pour 3/4 of the marinade over top and make sure all of the pieces are coated. I like to use a smaller baking dish so that the extra marinade doesn't spread out too much. This allows the tempeh to soak it up while it bakes.
4) Bake for 15 minutes.
5) Plate tempeh pieces and garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds. Drizzle leftover marinade over top.
