To make myself feeling better, I've been whipping up some refreshing fruit smoothies. This smoothie is sweet, tropical and uses up some of my favourite fruits right now. Cantaloupe is so amazing right now - I just cut them in half, grab a spoon and go to town on the couch.
This smoothie is a little different from some of my other smoothies because cantaloupe has a high water content - cantaloupe is made up of 89% water - and it creates a different consistency. It is sort of a half slushi half smoothie. If you let it sit for a few minutes after blending it, you will notice that the water starts to separate a bit and you'll need to give it a quick shake up.
This smoothie is refreshing and super invigorating. Give it a go!
1 cup coconut water
1/2 cantaloupe, cubed
1 banana, frozen
1/4 cup pineapple
Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Garnish with chia seeds.
